AVI SHASHIDHARA

Avi Shashidhara is a highly respected Indian chef, recognised for his winning dish on Great British Menu and his refined, ingredient-led approach to cooking.

His career includes a Michelin Bib Gourmand at Pahli Hill and nearly a decade at The River Café, where he developed a deep appreciation for seasonal, produce-driven cuisine. After relocating to the UK, Avi trained in some of the country’s most demanding kitchens, including two-Michelin-starred Hibiscus under Claude Bosi, before further honing his craft at The Old Bridge Hotel.

Today, his cooking reflects a balance of classical technique, modern British influence, and the flavours of his Indian heritage.
